39 weeks yesterday. Braxton hicks last night very strong. Was up with dd and had one lasting about ten mins. Now got persistent stitch in right side that won't go away? Does stitch mean anything?

Not sure about the stich, could be your muscles feeling sore due to the Braxton hicks which I don't care what anyone says they bloody hurt!

Or you could have a week of Braxton hicks before true labour starts.

My Braxton hicks started a month before labour kicked in...

That could explain it - never thought of that as reason for stitch. Feels
better now I am downstairs and active (ish)

Good.
Are you able to go out for a short walk for fresh air and stretch your muscles abit?

Difficult because baby is on a nerve and I can barely walk. But postbox is about 30m away so I may go post my Christmas cards. They've only taken three hours to write about ten of them today. No energy...

I thiught i had braxton hicks the week before i gave birth but id actually been in labour. And yes they bloody are painful and weird.

Hope you managed to get a pain free walk.
How you feeling now?

Can't walk at all Hmm. Had to drive to nursery to pick up dd an walking from street to door hard enough. Started on sat when baby dropped. Google suggests either sciatica but pain doesn't travel down leg so maybe not, or pelvic girdle pain. Had similar with dd though started a little earlier and I think pain in a different place (this time it's kind of at the top of my left buttock) and I think it disappeared as soon as she was born.

Thank you for checking though. No more stitches or Braxton hicks. That seems to be a night time thing.
