Blood stained colostrum

I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and about a week ago my boobs started leaking. Been wearing pads because at night I get soaked!
Anyway up until now the fluid is clear and odourless and dries clear, so when I'm wearing pads I'm not sure if I have leaked or not. However today my pad looks blood stained. Not smelly or anything and only on my one really leaky boob.
It's not orange, definitely looks like blood.
Anyone else had this?

Not had this but could you nipples possibly be cracked? Causing them to bleed slightly?

I am curious as the women in the bed next to me experienced this after her baby was born, and none of the doctors or midwifes had an answer.

No not cracked or sore. My nipples have been kept soft by applying bio oil regularly.
I think it might be normal in the sense that my boobs are going through changes, and growing, a small capillary might have broken. I saw a link to an Australian website that can happen, but most UK sites just say seek advice from GP or midwife.
Also maybe because I'm having to wear a bra at night, something I've never done before.
I will get checked if it continues and let you know the outcome

Hi,

Before I go further, please don't worry unduly.

I had this with first pg. One side only. Please report it to GP. I had to get an ultrasound at a breast clinic to check nothing untoward was going on, especially as my mum had breast cancer. All fine. No further issues since and didn't recur with next pg. I imagine, as someone has said above, it was just a broken capillary due to body getting ready for breastfeeding.

Don't worry it will be fine.
