Feeling 'strained' at 9 weeks. Any ideas

Hi ladies,
I'm 9 wks today and had a dating scan last week where we saw the little heartbeat. I've had the usual grumbles in lower abdomen, nothing to worry about and no bleeding. However, today, I am feeling really, really 'strained' almost to the point where its making me walk a bit funny. It's not pain, just what I imagine groin strain to be like.

Any ideas? Should I be concerned or just wait and see what tomorrow brings?

Would appreciate your advice as this is my first time and not 100% certain of every sympton.

Could be round ligament pain, but if you're worried do give your midwife a call.

Hi rreow,

I just called the midwife and she said pretty uch the same. take paracetemol, and if symptons worsen, call GP. Will keep an eye on things, but I'm hoping all will be ok :-)

I had this in my pregnancies, like a very heavy, low dragging feeling? Everything was fine btw, very normal pregnancies.

hey mistletoe, that's exactly it - low, dragging! Its just not the normal gripes I've had, which made me question, plus I'm walking funny! But, reassured by your words, so I'm just going to kick back and take it easy.

Yes, try not to worry, I know its easier said than done. But you have to remember this is your first pregnancy so your body is doing things it has never done before so whereas things might feel unfamiliar they are normal. :)

Obviously if you have any strong serious pain you should be seen immediately but pulling sensations and period type aches and that low feeling were completely normal for me,

It does ease up (until the last few weeks when you feel even lower! lol)

Good luck!
