all day sickness

I'm sure you have answered before but I cannot even focus on the computer to search through the site. I am 5+3 at the moment and have been feeling very sick for the last few days.

Today is the first day I actually vomited but I have this nausea and dizziness feeling all day long... I am worried that it will be like this for a min of 3 months as I cannot work like this and I had to email my boss today saying I'm not coming in tomorrow.

I feel awful, I don't mind the vomiting but it is the light head and dizzy feeling that it is becoming unbearable. anyone else with a similar experience? I have been in bed all day

Yes, feeling the same for the last 3 weeks. Just about getting through work using anti-emetics prescribed by the dr (apart from taking 2 days off before I got them). They don't make me feel back to normal, and am still exhausted and feeling that drained unwell feeling, but mean I'm only being sick once or twice a day. If you start being sick lots I'd request some as that really takes it out of you.
I actually find that I feel worse when I'm at home all day, distraction is good and while it's hard to get through the day at work it's actually better than being at home on my own.
I'm 7+5 btw, has been like this for nearly 3 weeks. Some days are better than others though, and as I said distractions like work/constant grazing on food (ginger not working for me, sugary cereal seems to be the best at the moment) seem to help a little.
Hope you start to find ways of getting through, it seems like everyone has different ways. I really empathise, it's absolutely horrible :-(

Gloti, how often are you vomiting? can you eat and drink? If not, there is a chance that you will be dehydrated. In which case, you need to be on meds now! And also should pay a visit to docs. I'm suffering from
Hyperemesis at the moment and am on drugs that have helped to ease the number of times I vomit a day.

Really hoping for your sake it is just a case of standard morning sickness.

8 weeks tomorrow and I'm pretty much laid up all day. Have not been sick yet just nausea, tiredness, dizzy

Don't know how I'm supposed to work

6 weeks and the MS has just started kicking in, I have had a couple of miscarriages and I had no sickness with them, whereas with my 3 kids I did so I feel reasured by it!! Dont feel so great with my head over the toilet tho!

Im 10+4...I was going through pretty much the same thing as you up until about 2 weeks ago. I feel much better now and have way more of an appetite :) But when the sickness stopped I was a bit worried and kind of missed it!!

thanks all. I'm going to the doctor's in a minute. my problem is that I haven't actually been sick much only a couple of times so I'm scared they won't give me medication...
I couldn't sleep at all last night with terrible nausea and dizziness but nothing coming out. I can't work and I really don't think I can do 3 months of this.

It's unlikely to be 3 months; MS usually eases up once the placenta takes over at some point around 9-10 weeks. But yes, the GP is unlikely to give you anything if you're not actually vomiting. Anti-emetics won't stop you feeling queasy in my experience, they just make it less likely you'll actually vomit.

I've been getting all-day queasiness since just before 5 weeks; I'll be 8 weeks on Wednesday & it's been much the same these past 3 weeks. You just have to get on and make the best of it - eat little & often, as an empty stomach will make it worse if you do vomit. Keep drinking plenty of water (dehydration will make the nausea worse, amongst other things) and cut back on stuff like tea and coffee. It should pass in time, you just have to put up with it in the meantime. If it's any consolation, MS is a sign of a pregnancy that's getting itself very firmly established - I never had it at all with any of my 3 mcs.
