Confirmation appt-question...please

HI All

Had my prgnancy confirmation appt today at the doc.

She didn't even check my blood pressure or anything. She just asked me to fill out forms.

With DD1 I had blood pressure etc done

Is she just not very good?
She didn't even mention folic acid!!!

Lots of docs don't do anything but paperwork, cos they think it's for the midwife to do.

Next time remember that there is no need to see the gp you can contact the midwife yourself.

Think it's normal. I saw my doc yesterday and same here. He just saw it as an appt to register me with the hosp, and asked if I had my 12 wk mw and scan appt and that was that. I'm an older 1st timer (38), so I thought I'd get more appts, but he said they don't make any decisions on extra care until after the 12 wk appt.
It was a bit of a let-down to say the least!
