Been using under arm toning cream last couple weeks probably 10-15 times, didn't think to check if it was safe during pregnancy. I'm 32 weeks now.
Checked the ingredients list it contains blue lotus flower (which says not safe in preg), Cactus extract (not sure), amarashape (not sure), and caffeine, lecithin, and synephrine.
Do I need to be worried? Obviously I'll stop using now but have I been daft will this do any harm of absorbed into skin or is it a small enough amount that it wouldn't matter?
Thanks

You'll be fine

I dyed my hair all the way through both of my pregnancies and the DCs are fine Smile

Does it actually say on the product "do not use in pregnancy"?

Personally, I think it's very unlikely that such small amounts of those ingredients, absorbed via the skin, would have any negative effect - you haven't been eating it have you?! - but I'm no expert so t might reassure you to talk to your midwife about it and maybe contact the manufacturer to ask.

Most of us consume so many nasty products and chemicals through our skin these days yet babies are fine. I've tried not to use anti perspirant, and only natural shower wash, toothpaste and moisturiser etc during pregnancy but still use the same old make up and hair products so don't know why I'm bothering really!

Thanks both, doesn't say anything on the box and all natural ingredients but checking those I did see that blue lotus said do not use in pregnancy?
Used on arms but more than pea size once a day for last couple weeks

At this late stage you probably don't have anything to worry about. Baby is fully formed and just getting bigger. The substances which are dangerous in pregnancy are generally only dangerous early in pregnancy when the baby's body is actually forming and 'mistakes' can be made.

Don't worry!!

I think blue lotus can also be made into tea and it's drinking that that isn't recommended in preg. I should think you are getting a tiny tiny fraction of that through your skin.
