OUCH! Any advice on sore boobs?!

Hi. I'm 6 weeks pregnant, with my first child. Everything seems to be going fine, except that my boobs are killing me. I got measured for a new bra a few days ago, and had gone up one back size and two cup sizes (now a 38G - eek), dread to think what they'll be like in 7 months time!
Anwyay, they feel really swollen, sore and hard. I'm finding it really difficult to get a good night's sleep. I usually sleep on my front, but that is way too painful - even sleeping on my back hurts though. My DH described them as being like two bowling balls yesterday - charming!
Has anybody got any tips for soothing them?

ditsy I hear you! I'm 7 weeks now 36G vs 34F and they hurt. Two things I've found that helped, I've ditched the underwire and sleep in a crop top/ sleep bra from marksies. Still sore but better.
I'd also recommend twice a day massage with bio oil. It is tender but will help too as well as keeping stretch marks at bay.
Good luck, hope that helps xx

No advice, sorry, just reassurance that this is just a phase and they will stop hurting in a few weeks.

Just to get a couple of good supportive maternity bras and wear them day and night. Mine were agony in the first few weeks but they have calmed down a lot - although having said that I used to be a 34C and I'm now wearing a 38G with a bra extender on the last clasp, so be prepared for some increase in volume and don't spend too much on the bras in the early stages! I've been slathering on the cocoa butter and bio oil as well.

I agree, decent, supportive bras for day and I wore tops with support to sleep in too. Good news is (for me, at any rate) this did settle down around 10 weeks. Still tender but nowhere near as sore now!
