I'm just under 21 weeks, first pg, and this might seem a weird question but is anyone else's bump slightly lopsided? I'm getting a big bump, but it feels like it's more to my left side that is bigger than my right. xxx

I'm 37 weeks with DC2 and have a lopsided bump, I know from a growth scan I had recently that it's due to him lying with his back up the right hand side of my body and his limbs on the left so my bulk on one side IYSWIM!

I seem to remember that my bump with DD was wonky as well - but then most of me is wonky Grin

My bump with DD was crazy lopsided! I was told that was just the position she was in. Occasionally when she moved it kind of flipped across which was like something out of alien, weird. Over to the left too. Think that's normal tho? She engaged early and was a pretty easy birth, I was told because she was in a good position. So that's hopeful!

I'm 22 weeks & when I lie down my bump is quite clearly more on my right than left!

I said to DH earlier Its leaning to the left! I guess it's just positional :)

Just wait until you are lying in the bath and your bump moves from one side to the other! It's surreal. I don't think babies are too worried about symmetry.

Babies apparently show a preference for lying on the left. If he/she is head down too, you are all set for the perfect birthing position (ie. coming from the left......most babies swivel to the left in labour anyway).
