Ligaments stretching like doctor said it SPD?

I'm now 21 weeks pregnant, will be 22 weeks on Monday. A month or so ago I went to the doctor because I was getting pain in my groin when I lift my leg up to put shoes on etc. The doctor said it was just ligament pain, where they are stretching. The last few days this pain has got worse. When walking for longer than say 20 minutes I get a pain in my hip/thigh and also near the top of my leg on the inside. Could this possibly be SPD or still ligament stretching?

Sounds similar to my symptoms of spd (they call it pgp here). I would speak to your MW, or maybe go back to the GP I mentioned it to mine at my last appointment and she handed me a leaflet with some info on how to help etc if it was pgp. I rang her again a couple of weeks after the appointment saying I was still in pain at times and straight away reffered me to the physio at the Hospital.

Things that were on the leaflet that really helped me, pillow between legs when sleeping, going up the stairs one step at a time, and keeping knees together when getting out of bed cars also.

I have similar to you, vague pains on lifting legs, moving in certain ways etc. Nothing awful but worried me since it was so early in pregnancy for it start (am 22 weeks). I was referred to a physio thankfully because a few days ago the pain got much worse in upper inside leg & hip on one side.

The verdict was that I have early spd which they think has been caught early enough to fix it before it gets worse and the worse pain in upper leg/hip is a strained/pulled muscle caused by my left side overcompensating for my right side.

I was given exercises to do & told as Death has said to keep knees together. I would push for a physio referral if I was you, caught early they can probably help you with it so you don't end up spending next 4 months hurting.
