It's very cold and looks like it'll be getting even colder, so I would like to get some maternity leggings (over the bump) that I can wear under my thinner looser trousers. Something plain, reasonably cheap & in a dark colour. Any suggestions?

Also, if any of you know of any maternity thermals (or am I asking for the earth?!) or warm, roll/polo neck tops?

Instead of buying maternity leggings I recently bought plain black leggings from Topshop in one size up. Very comfy material, for £12.

Not cheap but boden maternity leggings are v v good.

For thermals, i'm still wearing my normal uniqlo heat tech thermal tops at 30wks with twins (and I am not neat!) Cheap as chips and very stretchy - currently wearing a medium. Apparently they also do heattech tights too which might be worth a try in a size bigger. M&s also have similar tights but I haven't rtied them tbh.

I have black leggings over the bump, size small from new look. I never wore them as they were far too big. I'd be happy to post them to you if you want them?

H&M do over the bump leggings £7 a pair and so so so comfortable. I'd been managing with my non maternity ones but they seem to dig in and are uncomfortable. The maternity ones come up to just below my boobs, really warm and comfy, I got another pair to wear in hospital under my cheap nighties as they come so far up bump I thought they'd be good when breastfeeding and will be well out the way of a scar if I have to have c-sec.

I second the H&M over bump leggings, I have two pairs now as I mostly wear dresses and leggings, very comfy

I am wearing h+m maternity vest tops underneath almost everything at the moment not quite thermals but keeping me nice and warm.
