Cut myself chopping unwashed veg, any risk of infection?

Hi this sounds like a really stupid question but I'm not sure so asking anyway.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant. I was chopping a swede which I hadn't yet washed, my little finger was stupidly underneath it and the knife went straight in pretty deep. I don't think it's bad enough for stitches as it hasn't bled much but am I at risk from any infections?

In theory yes - any open wound could get infected but it really is a very minor risk.

No need to worry!

Thanks, just more concerned than any normal cut as I know the knife had unwashed veg on it beforehand!
