I know I'm going to sound like a right weirdo but I can't burp! I'm 12 weeks today and I constantly need to burp but I've never been able to. It's making me feel so sick and bloated. Does anyone else have this? DP says drink loads of fizzy drinks at once but tbh I can't stand fizzy drinks. Sorry I know this sounds so stupid!

Gripe water might be worth a try? Not stupid at all, must be bloody awful.

Yes, you can get it at the chemist or in the baby aisle at supermarkets. Does the job Wink

Oh thats a shame you don't like fizzy drinks - as I also keep needing to burp and for the first time in my life seem to constantly have some sugar free fizzy orange on the go.
I don't think you need to drink lots - just a sip seems to help me when I get that wave of nausea. I started off drinking sparkling water, but I ended up actually wanting something sweet tasting.
I wonder if just sipping any drinks will help, if you can't get the gripe water straight away.

I've been the same and been avoiding fizzing drinks in pregnancy but caved in and a couple of sips of coke or lemonade and what a relief!
You could also try alcohol free beer or cider I'm sure it will have similar effect

Chewing gum works for me. Not sure if it is the mint or the chewing but that makes me burp!

Not stupid, it's a horrible feeling.
