Subchorionic haemorrhage - how long did you bleed for?

I'm 6+3 weeks pregnant. 2 days ago I had a moderate bleed. I had been spotting for a few days before this. I have had an USS and the baby appeared fine but the sonographer thought she could see a small area of haemorrhage next to the sac.

Assuming I've had a small SCH just wondering how long I can expect to bleed for? The fresh bleeding settled after a few hours and I'm now just spotting again - dark brown when I wipe.

I've got another scan in 10 days time and of course will contact the EPU if i bleed heavily again, but would be interested to hear others' experiences in the meantime.

I had this with my DD and bled several times from about 6 weeks to about 19 weeks. Each bleed was quite heavy and acute, scared me silly and meant that I had several extra scans, but happily everything was fine and by 20 weeks the haemorrhage had gone and the rest of my pregnancy was normal. Hope yours settles down soon.

Thanks for replying - reassuring to hear a good outcome. Having had several MCs this year, it has been a stressful week to say the least.

I had this too at 9 weeks, had a massive bleed and went for a scan, the bleed was quite big on the scan and was still there at the 12 week scan. I then had weeks of small/brown bleeds. It had stopped by about 18 weeks and the bleed/bruise was not visable on the 20 week scan. She is a year old now!
