Painful kicks

I'm 22 wks with dc2 and have been getting really painful kicks very low down in my abdomen. They're so sharp and strong it makes me wince and I have to get up and walk around to try and change its position.

The movements weren't this strong last time at all. I'm worried about how bad they're going to get, as it gets bigger and stronger.

Has anyone else had this on 2nd/3rd etc pregnancies? Or have I just got a feisty one here?? Grin

I was exactly the same with DD2. After your first pg, your second/ subsequent babies have more room to move, because the walls of the uterus have already been stretched once. Also, as your abdominal wall has been stretched once, you feel te kicks more.

As the baby grows, there will be less room, so theoretically, the kicks shouldn't be as strong.

I should have known way before I did that DD2 would e born by ELCS: it often felt like she way trying to punch her way through my tummy anyway!

Thanks Molotov. That makes sense, and is reassuring!
