Baby sleep gowns

Does anyone know if anybody in the uk sells these? They're like a night dress with an elasticated bottom instead of legs with poppers.
I'd really like some for over night changes.

Yes. One of the real nappy websites sell these. I'll have a wee look and see if I can find it. I had never heard of them until I stumbled across them on this website. It piqued my curiosity.

I just got about 10 from different people on ebay for about the same as it would have cost to get 2 from most of the sites I could find that sold them.

This site had them for £6 each though. Which was the cheapest new sleep gowns I found.

I'm hoping by April when the baby's born it will be warm enough for one of these instead of the traditional sleep suits.

Can't give you any up-to-date recommendations on where to buy them (ours were from Mothercare and eBay, 8.5 years ago) but just wanted to say that they are so useful. We used them for the twins and during every night nappy change I would be grateful that I wasn't having to negotiate two sets of sleepsuit poppers.

Blimey that's a good idea! Wish I'd had some of those when my two were little.

Natural baby shower also do some lovely ones.

Agree, these are top of my list for best labour saving device in the middle of the night. The number of times I came to my poor ds in the Morning to find his leg poppered up to his midriff was unbelievable.

I had some gorgeous ones from asda but that was 3.5 years ago so not sure if they still have them.

I've bought a few of these for my baby due end of January. I just wondered if anyone has any advice on whether it will be too cold to use them then? I still can't get my head around how many clothes a baby should sleep in especially in the newborn phase when they are too small for sleeping bags!

I used them.for my december abies, i.put socks on their feet tho tnh no.need as their legs and feet stay tucked up.in the nightie and were always warm.

Obviously baby will need sheet and blankets as well or a grobag/baby sleeping bag :)

Btw baby will need a vest under the nightie and then sheet and blanket depenfing on the temp.of the room they sleep in.

We have bought a couple of the white ones from JL for our imminent arrival. They look gorgeous and the fabric is the quality you would expect. Just be aware, though, by "one size", they actually mean 0-3 months.

They have some in Mothercare by Jools Oliver. I used to have some Gap ones but only can find one - must have passed them on to someone!

As previously noted John Lewis also sell them, they seem really lovely quality. £8 I think.
