Hi to all

I would appreciate your advice. Its my first pregnancy but ive not experienced many symptoms. I dont think im the stoic type so I would lap them up if I did Wink I had a weekend of nausea but otherwise boobs feel fine, not too tired. thankfully nor have I had any cramps, bleeding

Anyway with all the current media hype about kates symptoms im more aware of the lack of my own and have read, sad things about no symptoms.

I wont have a scan till january. Is there anything I can do to check all is ok in the meantime? Or just sit it out.

I trust God knows his plans for me but the wait is a little hard

X,

Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know).

I haven't had any symptoms (nausea, sickness, exhaustion) and all was fine at my 12 week scan Smile.

You could pay for a private early scan for reassurance; I almost did but when my scan date came through I only had a few weeks to wait, so it didn't seem worth it.

I had a similar but not exactly the same thing where my symptoms all but dissapeared half way through my 8th week. My doctor sent me to my epu for a scan, if you have a sympathetic gp you can ask them to refer you. Everything was fine xx

Please, please don't worry. I have had two children now (both bouncing babies at birth) and had not a single symptom (apart from no period) for either until my stomach started growing. Was half convinced with my first that I would get to my 12 week appointment and they would tell me nothing was in there!

I never had any symptoms at all during my pregnancy - DD is now 8!! Count yourself one of the lucky ones! That's what I did!

keely79 · 07/12/2012 15:10

Also - apparently only 80% of pregnant women get morning sickness - that leaves plenty of room for us lucky ones.

Quodlibet · 07/12/2012 17:25

OP you have got one very common symptom - it is called 'worrying that you don't have MS'. Loads of us have this symptom even though it rarely makes the news - you are in good company.

AmandaCooper · 07/12/2012 22:19

Hello Quod!

OP I had no symptoms at all for a good few weeks during the first trimester, it's very normal if very worrying! The wait for the first scan seemed endless.

Snowflakepie · 07/12/2012 22:52

Lol I put up a similar post on Monday with all the hype! And 12 week scan was perfect. I had no sickness with DD either. If you've no bad signs then try not to worry, easier said than done but there are plenty of people who don't get ill. Nothing you can say or do will make any difference anyway. Hope your scan comes along soon x

Hi. Sorry I hadn't realised I was op. Got it. Smile I.had the scan today and all.was fine. I wanted to.update the post for the sake of anyone else who reads this after searching. There are a lot of websites that say light symptoms might be a cause of concern but as so many of you kindly reassured me it can be normal not to have symptoms too. I felt very blessed to hear the heartbeat today. Thank you to all who.responded.and reassured me xx.
