Pregnant AGAIN after MAT leave??!!!

Just wondered did anyone else get pregnant straight away after returning to work from MAT leave? I returned in October around the same time I got pregnant again, I had a year off with DS2 and now I am 8 wks with DC3, I am dreading telling my boss!! anyone else in the same situation or was in the same situation before? I kmow everyone will be talking about me at work and I am really getting stressed over this. Any advice?
Also am I still entitle to maternity leave again if going off in say June and just been back since October?
Any advice would be appreciated.

We have someone at work who has got pregnant again while on mat leave, and with accrued leave etc, she will be working for 3 weeks out of 26 months!!

Not really any advice, but it does happen!

You will still be entitled to maternity leave as your employment has continued throughout, and as you will be at work through the earnings period, may well be entitled to SMP again too, depending on what your earnings are now.

i've done this three times now

they still haven't found an excuse to fire me.

you just have to brazen it out - these are your rights after all.

So I'm not the only one! so scared to tell work but I am waiting untill I have my scan so thats a few more weeks to pluck up the courage!

I was 11 weeks pregnant when I returned to work after maternity leave. Didn't tell them till I was17 weeks, wore a scarf. They weren't thrilled but u are still entitled to maternity leave. Don't rush to tell them no one will question weight gain when u have had a baby recently!

I went back pregnant and so have a number of my friends, its life they have to live with it!

They were fine about it.

I found out I was pregnant again the very first week I returned to work from matt leave with Dc1. When I told my boss 2 months later he asked "can you not keep your legs closed for 5 minutes?" Was said in a jokey way and our office had an anything goes kinda vibe so I wasn't at all surprised. He was actually very supportive once the initial shock wore off but even if he hadn't been what could he actually do? I was very nervous breaking the news though.

absolutely no need to tell them before 12 week scan, in fact not until 26 weeks i think...though if you want time off for your scan you get it paid if they are aware .

I returned after ds1 in the November and found out in the December that I was expecting again. They were fine about it and now after a further 3 years I am expecting dc3 in 2 weeks and they were fine with that too. My colleague came back very recently after mat leave to tell us that she was 17 weeks pregnant.

I returned to work 3 months pregnant with child number 2. I didnt manage to do a full week in work due to ilness (mine and dc1), then some problems with pregnancy, and then had to be signed off with severe spd at 6 months as I became housebound for rest of pregnancy

Pregnant both times within a month of returning from a year's ML.
(This was also after not knowing I was 3 months pregnant with DC1 at the job interview! )

Luckily my boss is decent - although he has said to me 'no more children!' :)

I work for the nhs and looked into this when I was on mat leave with ds. Had a bit of a scare when he was 4 months and thought I might have caught despite ebf.
You are still entitled to your mat leave but it can affect your pay. I think your mat pay is calculated between some weeks in the second trimester. ( can't remember which ones) so if you are only on half pay from the previous mat entitlement, during those crucial weeks, that's counted as your wage and you'd obviously end up getting less during the next leave.
It may not apply to you though if you aren't covered by a similar policy to the nhs's and try not to worry as there is a specific clause in our policy, so it clearly happens quite frequently
