Hi everyone

I wondered if anyone had good tips on the best way to clean used baby products safely without any harsh chemicals? I have bought a second hand baby changing unit and a friend is also giving me her Moses basket (I will replace the mattress) and play mat.

I?ve read white vinegar might work?

I just wanted to be sure it was thoroughly cleaned of another baby?s germs but clearly want to avoid anything toxic like bleach etc?

Just soap and water will be fine :)

Just bung the playmat in the washer

Soap and water is perfectly adequate.

Remember bacteria find it hard to live on dry surface for long. With furniture I would leave it in the garage where it's cold... Germs don't like the cold and wash with washing up liquid and hot water nearer when you want to use them. If you can put something in the washing machine do that!
