Hi guys,
I have been approached by someone who runs media outlets to do interviews about my hyperemesis. I am talking newspapers and magazines, and possibly some tv interviews.
I have agreed to it, but I am worried if I go on TV my boss might see it, and I am still signed off sick. I am returning to work next week as the vomiting is now controlled, but from severe weight loss, I was left very weak. I am getting stronger everyday, and now pleased to be going back to work, but will I get into trouble if I am seen on tv?
I feel it's too important a subject to miss out on, as little is known about HG.

You are speaking about the illness you have been signed off with, its not like you are going on reality tv and dancing about the place. Could you call your boss and let him/her know you have done an interview?

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better, HG sounds bloody awful.

Go for it

I have HG for the second time now

if you raise awareness that HG is so so so different to morning sickness then you will be doing many people a big favour.

So many people do not comprehend or undestand what HG is.

Most of is with HG would truley love to onlyhave bad morning sickness, which sounds like bliss in comparison!

I have HG and no one took me seriously in my family until Kate had ot. Now they are worried about me. Retty annoyed to be honest. Almost like i was lying.

I know what you mean Roxy. In the beginning I wasn't really taken seriously but when I had rapid weight loss and could barely walk they took notice.
Mine is getting better now but when I heard Kate had it I was pleased that its raising awareness, although I feel so sorry for her suffering it.
I did an interview in our local paper, and was pleased with the result. I am returning to work next week and I popped in yesterday, they all could see how much better I am compared to when some of them saw me before.
Good luck ladies and keep your chin up xxx
