Sore nipples

Hi all

I'm 23 weeks, had the usual sore boobs earlier on in pregnancy. But last couple of days my nipples have been hurting so much, feels like someone is sticking hot needles in them! Feel like they're on fire. Is this normal for about this stage? Thank you x

If it's worse if you go outside in the cold and feels sharp then it could possibly be thrush. I had this during bf and was excruciating. Needed anti fungal drugs though so unsure if they are ok in pg. Topical creams are also available. If in doubt asking mw or bf support person prob best bet, as they are always looking at ladies' bits and know their stuff ;-)
