I am feeling a bit desperate! 41 + 4 weeks and due for induction tonight - really don't know how I'm going to get through labour this exhausted.

Keep having rotten Braxton hicks which aggravate my volcanic heartburn, can't lie down, hips are agony, I have pregnancy related tinnitus so birds are chirping in my ears, and the cat is running round the house like a Tasmanian devil. Plus I've just been sick...again! HALP.

Hey curious, not all night, but since 0530, have been feeling imagining early labour niggles/tightenings since then. I am 40+3.

You poor thing...maybe you can nap a little bit during the day today, to catch up on some zzzzzs before you go into hospital? Do you know what kind of induction you're having? Cos if they're going to try the gel/pessary first, I think they put it in and then leave you alone for 6 hours to see what happens...maybe you will be able to get some shut-eye then?

Sorry I can't really say anything more helpful - hope everything goes well with the induction, and try to focus on the fact that within 24-48 hours you'll definitely be having lots of lovely snuffly cuddles with your newborn xx

Thank you dangermousey - I'm going to have to get something serious for my heartburn and try and sleep today. Not sure what type of induction I'm getting yet, I suppose they'll have to examine me tonight. Really over all this vomiting! Just got over norovirus at the weekend and now I'm at it again. POOR ME :)

I have been prescribed Omeprazole for my heartburn from my GP...you take one tablet per day and it has really made a huge difference. Can u get an emergency appointment with your GP this morning to try and get something like that?

Alternatively I know my SiL was prescribed Rinitidine when she was pregnant - it does the same thing. You can buy it over the counter - I think the counter under the brand name Zantac I think...a pharmacist probably wouldn't sell it to you looking so pregnant but you could maybe get ur OH to buy you some?
