Where's My Baby Gone?

I'm 18+5 and have been getting bigger and bigger. For the past week I've looked bigger than my neighbour who is 26 weeks. I've had lots of movement for weeks now. Had my scan last week and he was happily snoozing and everything was fine.

Yesterday I woke up and my huge bump had gone! Shock

Today it's still gone. Where's he gone? I know he must be in there somewhere as there have been no problems which would suggest anything else (and at this stage I think I might notice). Where ever he's hiding, I can't feel him move any more. I'm a little bit worried, but more perplexed than anything else.

Anyone else have similar at around this time.

ring your midwife!! if you cant feel movement something could be wromg :/ hopefully he will of just changed position or something but if your worried get seen!!

yes, chances are he's more towards your back now, but don't sit around fretting, call someone, today.

I have to call the midwife today anyway to make my next appointment. I will try to tell her but I find it quite difficult to communicate with her. I don't speak very good Swedish and she doesn't speak very good English so over the phone is a bit of nightmare.

She only takes calls between 2-3pm. So I'll have to wait a bit more :(

Mine did this with my lil boy he had just changed back to back, but agree with the other girls, get hold of her when you can x

I'm 26 weeks and my bump fluctuates as do the movements, especially in the earlier weeks I could go a day or two without feeling her.

Hope you get on ok with your mw.

I'd give her a call in a minute and see what she says.

I spoke to the midwife. She thinks everything will be fine, that's more than likely just moved as there are no other indications of anything being wrong. She's booked me in to listen to his heart tomorrow, just to reassure me.

And I only had to say 'Sorry I don't understand' once! Shock :o

my bump is much bigger when the baby is lying across ways then gets smaller again when its lying in the proper vertical way with the head down low

Glad to hear you get to listen to your baby tomorrow to put your mind at rest. I am sure it's probably the position they are lying in. My little one gets much bigger when her head is down the bottom, or when she moves upwards after I've had a wee.
