Just been prescribed some today for bad constipation. Just wondering how long it usually takes to work? I'm taking 3 teaspoons twice a day. Thanks

I used it and it took about 24 hours for things to really loosen up. Sorry you're experiencing it. Constipation is not fun

It'll take a bit of time - like white says maybe 24 hours - now I've cleared the backlog (!) I can take it as and when and it works within about 8 hours. I would recommend taking a probiotic though, I find that Yakult helps me be regular.

Make sure you drinking plenty of water too, my doctor said it won't work if you are dehydrated. He recommended 3L per day during pregnancy. Hope it gets better soon
