I'm 10 wks today, have had horrible morning sickness, no appetite, no energy and generally felt appalling!

Today I feel relatively normal! I've been Xmas shopping, I've eaten loads I'm even enjoying a cup of tea for the first time in 6 weeks!

It's making me a bit paranoid!

Apparently ms often tails off around 10 wks as the placenta starts to kick in. I'd enjoy it while it lasts! I remember saying to a sonographer last time at about 9 weeks that I was worried as my nausea had reduced and she said to count myself lucky. Needless to say it only lasted a few days and weeks 12-16 were particularly dreadful Grin

I am braced for weeks of feeling like rubbish so I'm very amazed to be feeling ok. It's so lovely Grin

I have a history of mc the first was 10wks 5 days and I'm wondering if I'm more anxious about it than I realise. I've been feeling abit emotionally wobbly for the last week. I thought I was just fed up with being ill and house bound.

hi cupcake

I had a panic when my symptoms stopped at just under 9 weeks, I had a scan and it was fine, I'm sure like mightbemad said it's just the placenta taking over. The irony being that you can't enjoy a day off symptoms because it fills you with panic. Ah the joys of pregnancy!

MightBeMad · 29/11/2012 13:41

If you're feeling anxious and have a history of mc then why don't you speak to your midwife or gp, tell them you are really worried as your symptoms have sopped, and see if they will refer you for an early scan at the epu. That would put your mind at rest and allow you properly to enjoy the nausea-free days!

Enjoy it, i thought I'd turned a corner last week on morning sickness - but today its hit me again... Last week (11 weeks) was about equal for good days vs bad days. This week there have been more good days than bad - I hope the pattern continues.
I think the paranoia is part of being pg - until the baby is safe in my arms I know I am going to worry!

Yep I was the same too. Terrifying yet quite nice :) I was really nervous at my 12 week scan and cried when I saw the wriggly baby!
Everything that I read says the placenta is taking over to ease your symptoms. Hang in there til your scan :)

I spoke to soon. Had a bath tonight and nearly passed out getting out of it! Now in bed, exhausted and feeling huge again.
