Due date?

This is my 5th baby, and every time I've had my 12 week scan, my dates and the scan dates have been spot on! So yesterday I went for my 12 week scan, I think I'm due 7th June, midwife says 8th June and scan said 3rd June! So my question is what date will the consultant use?

Many thanks for any help :) x

Your scan date, as it'll be the most accurate, done on size of foetus.

To be honest unless you go overdue it really doesn't matter. The consultant will use the scan date but scans can be 3-4 days out. My scan said 12th June, but we ttc for a while and I know it should be 16th June. I'll argue the toss if there are plans to induce based on scan date but otherwise happy to just go with their dates.

Look at your maternity notes, my midwife laughed at how many due dates I got (11th, 12th and 13th March) and eventually settled for the one in the middle as it was from the most recent scan and based on the baby's growth thus far.

At the end of the day, your due date is always just an estimate anyway - as my elderly neighbour said to me, baby will arrive when he or she is fully cooked! :)
