I had 2 bouts of the vomiting bug in as many weeks and now I've come down with a stinking cold, sore throat, runny nose.

I have one DS who is 2, my husband is working from home today but unable to take time off so I'll be looking after DS which wiped me out yesterday. I keep crying, just feel so exhausted, spending most of the night awake doing the usual loo trips and the cold.

My mum lives 3 hours away and is I'll, coming up on Saturday, we recently moved here and have no family support, all my new friends I don't feel I can call in to help.

Any advice? I'm feeling so low, we live 90 minutes from a hospital and I'm due another homebirth, all I want is rest so I can get geared up for this.

Yes, it's a no brainer your DH must take holiday or time off to prioritise you and his children. Simple. Why should you sacrifice your health and potentially your baby's.

Life's to short, poor you. Hope you feel better soon.xxxx

Done, he's taken today off. Taking our little boy to playgroup whilst I'm resting up. Lucky I filled a chest freezer full of meals, I have a feeling that they are going to be invaluable starting from on.

Thanks x

No probs its easy to see things clearly when it's not you. If you need until after the weekend then that's the way it is. Luckily you've presumably had a good pregnancy so far? So it could have been mush worse, women hospitalised for ages etc.

Try to keep it in perspective/ A few days and you'll feel better.xxx
