39+4 today and unable to get to sleep. Hot as hell even though bedroom windo wide open and stupid hips hurting no matter what side I lie on (and already lying on lots of pillows and a rolled up duvet).

Have given up and moved onto the sofa out of sympathy for poor DH who ha to go to work in the morning.

Anyone else awake and feeling the same??

I am v early on (9 weeks) but yes, insomnia here. I am also sulking because I was exhausted from only 3 hours' sleep last night and a full day at work with 2 and a half hours commuting and actually fell asleep at 8.30. But dh woke me up at 11.30 when he went to bed drunk and now I can't get back to sleep. So annoying.

Do you have other dc? Can you sleep in tomorrow morning?

Hmm, might try to go back to sleep.

Sleep or vomit, it's a tough one... Why can't morning sickness just be in the morning?

kalidasa · 28/11/2012 03:02

Are you still awake OP? I'm 39+5 and up too. In early labour I think but trying to hold off waking DP.

How exciting, kalidasa, that's a much better reason for being awake

MerryChristMoose · 28/11/2012 03:13

I remember how uncomfortable I was in those final few weeks. Just preparation for night feeds with DS though!

I found keeping one or two biscuits by the bed to be useful. I was told that dropping blood sugar levels could wake you up.

I'm 39+ 6 and the same!!! Been getting awful pains on my sides, my right then my left, trying to ignore it but I don't know if its the start of something!?!
Wish I had a label on my wrist that would turn coulour when in labour just so j would no if a pain or anything was a sign that I am in labour rather than my body but getting ready!! Xxx

Another one here just had a bad hormonal pregnancy nightmare, involved 2.6 year old ds being abducted. Been awake for an hour and am so tired. Long day ahead too. Pregnancy does strange things to your mind. Last pregnancy eastenders gave me nightmares, couldn't watch it for the last few months Confused

Hope all of you with labour type pains get some relief soon....

39+4 here and spending another night sat on the sofa, after lying in bed wide awake for hours. What is wrong with a pregnant body that it can't sleep, it's so flipping unfair?!!!

Good luck kalidasa, hope it goes well.
