I'm 25 weeks (2nd dc) and feel like is should be preparing for the new arrival alredy.
I don't really have any shopping to do or have done any apart from first babygrow set as still have everything from dd. I just need to get the bags out of the cupboard and wash them etc. Am I mad for thinking I need to do this so soon? When does everyone else start?

I think it depends on how straight forward the pregnancy has been, and whether any close family or friends have experienced unhappy endings. Some people have reason to be cautious and will wait to the last minute. Others will be happy and excited and have no reason not to shop from 12 weeks. Up to you really!

I'm just gone 20wk ordered my pushchair at just gone 12wks as I knew I'd need the time to pay it off so that's on a mothercare plan thing, have sorted a crib (borrowed) am hoping on a borrowed cot also just had 20wk scan and found out which colour so now will start getting bits in dribs and drabs so no although i dont think 25 weeks is too early I'm not sure i would like the whole lot hanging about as really at the moment all I have in my house is a pair of bootees and a nappy wrapper :) no harm in getting it out sortin through washing etc and maybe putting it back in an accessible place I guess.

I'm 26+6 and chomping at the bit to start buying the big things! This is my first child so I feel really in at the deep end! He's already got enough clothes for the first three months so now I think I need to concentrate on the big things - cot, pushchair, a whole nursery etc. however I finish work on December 30th, so I just having to keep my nesting instinct in check until then when I have time to shop around and focus on it. Lets hope baby's not early!!

With DS2 I y ordered pushchair at 34 weeks (had sling and carseat already), hospital bag ready (and stockpiling nappies, lansinoh, cotton wool etc) from 32 weeks onwards. They recommend you have a new mattress for your 2nd DC so also sorted that at 32 weeks.

Thats the thing I don't have anything to buy. We are using the same matresses dd is only 22 months still currently sleeping on the cot matress and the moses basket ones all have removable covers and inside plastic coated etc so are okay to use again. Everything is in the house anyway.
I guess I just feel like I need to do something. I think I will get a few things washed and ready before all of the christmas madness kicks in :)

39+4 with 3rd, still not fully prepped although like you still have all the things from last time. Going to wash the Moses basket covers today & the baby sling & get Moses basket set up on the stand etc. I did get out all baby clothes around the stage you're at. If you want to start preparing now go for it, its not too early. I'm just too relaxed & told baby its not allowed to arrive early ;)

I'm due 25 January with DD3 and wont start doing anything until after new year (my babies are always late!). I'm the same as you in that apart from the pram, moses, crib and cot mattresses to buy new, I've got everything else. Just bear in mind that if you wash all the clothes 13 weeks in advance you'll only need to do it all over again in 3 months time to ensure it's fresh! Up to you though!
