Pregnant and pcos

Hello everyone, im new to this, but thought i maybe able to get a little advise from others that maybe going through the same as me! I have pcos and i am 7 weeks pregnant, i had a scan at 5 weeks to see how far i was as my periods were sometimes irregular! Everything was what it should be at 5 weeks, the sac and the yolk all in the right place! I have another scan on wednesday just to see of everything is goin ok, i think maybe coz i have pcos and for my sanity also! I was so worried i mite even find if hard to get pregant and had alot of anxietys about never having kids etc ever since i found out i had pcos this year, im 25! Me and my boyfriend decided to try properly and i got pregnant after the first month! I know i was extremely lucky and i am so thankful of that! Im am so worried that i am goig to have a misscarriage though! I cant seem to get it out of my head! I kno theres not alot i can do, its just something that happens, but has anyone got any advice for the anxiety, or anyone wiv pcos that has been or is pregnant or has already got childen got any advice for me please? Xxx

I have pcos and like you got my BFP first month of trying :). I'm 18 weeks today and so far other than the usual pregnancy symptoms I've been fine.
I'll have to do a gtt at 26 weeks due to taking metformin for the pcos but everything else has been plain sailing so far.
Good luck with your next scan hopefully you'll see more baby shapes this time :).

I have pcos too and am 29 weeks. Not had any problems. Hope it's all smooth sailing for you! I don't think pcos makes problems more likely once you are already pregnant. Try to enjoy as much as possible. I've found chocolate particularly helpful.

Like you, i was terrified something was going to go wrong. I used to check my knickers for blood about a dozen times a day. However, i had a straightforward pregnancy and my DD is now 20 months old. :-) Other than testing for diabetes i wasn't treated any differently as a result of the pcos.

Hey I have pcos quite bad, if I'm not on the pill I don't get periods so I knew getting pregnant would be hard! But I am 25 and have a 4 year old DD and I am not nearly 14 weeks pregnant with DC2. I also feel after 1 month of trying which I never ever thought would happen but it was my first month of the pill and I came to the conclusion my body is obviously still in fertile mode then lol. Congratulations and fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy. It's hard to keep ur anxiety at bay but just try and take each day as it comes I've suffered 3 mc so know how hard it can be. Just count down the days until ur next scan :-) congrats again xxxxx

I have PCOS and I have two lovely boys. I was told I couldn't have children before that! Congrats!

I was diagnosed at 15 and told i wouldnt have children - ds is nearly 12, dd nearly 8 and im now 19 weeks pregnant,
have to admit it got harder each time but it worked eventually!

Only increased risk of PCOS with pregnancy is infertility (obvs not a problem for you!) and increased risk of diabetes in pregnancy so you'll need a GTT at around 26 weeks. Congratulations!

Im in same boat as op.
Im around 6 weeks and have pcos and kidney problems and after trying properly for1 month I got a bfp
I see the mw on Tuesday who will hopefully arrange a scan asap
I have a ds who is 2.
