Where do you buy your maternity undies from?

So far all my maternity pants come from Mothercare, but they're getting increasingly uncomfortable. Has anybody else discovered some nice ones? I can't believe that M&S don't sell them! I prefer the over the bump ones as the lower ones aggravate my c/s scar.

Laura, can you try a larger Mothercare? I had some brilliant ones from there but they were about £8 a pair and only to be found in the larger stores. They were well worth the money though, extremely comfortable and sort of looked like normal knickers with a stretch over your bump type panel at the top.

I prefer over the bump too because of a cs scar. i have been using m&s big pants they are not maternity but are good and stretchy and im still in my original size at 29 weeks and they come up to belly button. i will have to get a size bigger for the rest of pg but it beats £8 a pair proper maternity ones which can't be much better:)

i've got m&s normal ones too, they're very comfy, but i prefer under the bump, so don't need big ones with extra fabric. i have some mothercare ones too but they;re huge, even my normal size looked gross, so i've ditched those.

New to me!i just wore my normal knickers

I got over the bump ones from M&S 3 years ago. They were huge but very comfy! I'm surprised they don't do them anymore as they seem to be expanding their maternoty range.

Just like slinkstah, I use M&S full briefs. If you get the cotton lycra mix ones (currently on offer at buy one pack, get a pack half price) they tend to stretch a bit more. Also, towards the 3rd trimester, try buying a size bigger. They will also do for you after the birth when we have to have the dreaded maternity pads in them!!

last 2 times got massive cotton grannie knickers from market one size up. Awful pink flower pattern but seriously seriosly comfy & cheap!

BigHotMama · 17/04/2006 17:21

I am currently wearing full briefs from M&S and Asda's in one size bigger, asda's are more comfy in my opinion but not sure if they be as long lasting as M&S. Did buy a maternity pair from Mothercare but looked totally hideous and didnt feel comfy on the elastic part round thighs.

i got mine from the blooming marvelous catalogue, they were over the bump ones and they were really comfy.

Thanks for all the replies :)

Gillian76 - M&S def don't do them anymore. :( Why?!?!? Surely most woment buying the maternity bras also need pants! They're missing a potential goldmine.

Have now found some fantastic ones (quite a lot of trial and error). They're from Peacocks, and are true granny pants - I'd say they're bigger than normal maternity pants. They're so much more comfy than the Mothercare ones as they have a lot more stretch. And at £3 for 2 pairs, significantly cheaper :)
