Hi ladies, just wondering if there's any kind of pâté that us pregnant ladies are allowed to eat? It's just not Christmas without pâté ha ha Grin

While I'm not advocating we all eat our body weight in liver, this link makes a good case for questioning the Vit A fears. Personally, I would eat a bit of my own homemade liver pâté if I really wanted to.

I've been eating loads of chorizo and pretending it's okay runs away

Is chorizo not ok? I've had chorizo (albeit in a stew), salami etc. Thought cured meats were considered fine in the UK.

There isn't a listeria risk if you make the pate fresh, and eat it straight away. So feel free to make guilt-free smoked salmon pâté, for example :)

Blatantly interrupting thread to wave at my name-twin bigkidsdidit and ask if we are actually the same person? One DS already (mine is 18 months) and pregnant? Spooky...

Apologies. I'll let you get back to it!

Chorizo and cured meat are fine in the UK. So is smoked salmon and even sushi.
