Bringing first day of maternity leave forward

Hello all! Hope someone can advise :-) I'm 36wks today and due to start maternity leave at 39wks! I made that decision and filled in the appropriate forms back in summer when I could sleep, feel my finger tips, walk without looking like John Wayne and most importantly, didn't wet myself after sneezing/laughing/blinking! So things have changed and i now need to leave at 38weeks! Problem is I'm too nervous to tell boss! I have to do it this week so I'm giving little over a weeks notice! Any advice gratefully received but try not to make me laugh as I might have an accident! Cx

Thanks Frootloopz, you're right, best to front it out methinks! Not much of a handover and will have lots done before I go so will sell it to him that way!Wink

As an inbetweener you could ask to finish working at work now with a few days home working to tie off loose ends and finish your handover.. Might be easier than schlepping into th office?
