I used Olbas oil and tiger balm all the way through last pregnancy. Dd2 looks ok to me Grin

am also feeling horrendous Nicky! I asked my GP and MW and Vapour rub should be ok as is olbas oil. I'm also squirting karvol on my pillow at night and that seems to help a bit although 5 days on i'm STILL suffering...Get well soon x

I have had it this week too. Halls thraot sweets have been quite good for unblocking decongestion although it doesn't last very long. Lockets have been helpful for a sore throat.

Sleeping with an extra pillow has helped at night, and also helped with the heart burn a bit!

Mine's only lasted about 4 or 5 days, hope you shake yours off soon!

I think I had a thread on this some years ago! Overalls judgement was Vicks bad, Olbas Oil fine - because Vicks is petroleum so a solvent, and Olbas is herbal (peppermint etc). I have stuck to that theory in subsequent pgs, including last week. It's grotty being bunged up and not feeling able to take anything.

Oh happy days. I'm getting a lurgy. Asked my midwife about Olbas but we live abroad and they've no clue what it is! Am going home immediately to soak all my clothes and bedding......
