Retesting after BFP!!

Does anyone else get the very silly need to keep retesting after getting a BFP, just to make sure they haven't got it wrong?!? The Clearblue Test said 'Pregnant 2-3' both times....but nearly 2 weeks on, I'm getting the urge to do it again!!

When I had a scan with DS, I actually said 'Oh, so there is something there!!' I'm going to be the same with this one too!!

I think I peed on 7 tests in total Blush but in my defence the lines were reaaaally faint!! In the end I took a photo of one with my phone and kept looking at it whenever I doubted the situation!

It also worked a treat for cheering me up in the early days when my manager was being a cow I was struggling!

I've done two so far... both faint so am looking forward to using one of my leftover tests later this week just to prove it's real!

Yes! I got obsessed Blush. Just couldn't believe I was finally pregnant after 3 years TTC and 3 cycles of IVF. The urge to test wore off after my scan (I had an early one at 7weeks). In the meantime, enjoy seeing that line appear and congratulations Grin!

I was TTC for a long time so have a massive stack of cheap tests from amazon, I have taken probably about 15 after my BFP! Blush

Surely no one only does 1?!?

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 21/11/2012 12:06

I did 11! :) I had lots of cheapies but had to do a variety of types to be convinced.
I am proud to say I still have one cheapy left but decided to draw the line so it's still sitting in the drawer!

Dolallytats · 21/11/2012 13:02

You've all made me feel so much better!! I wish I'd thought of taking a picture....I may just have to test again and then take the photo!!

I photographed all of mine! :)

CombustionEngine - I only ever did one!!!
I bought a cheapie 2 pack from Morrisons - and in our imaginary world we want to have 2 kids so I figured that the second one will be for when I get pg the 2nd time!!!
(I did do it when I was a week late - so was fairly confident I must be pg as I've never been more than 2 days late!)

My nausea and bloating are starting to diminish so while that makes me happy to not feel so crap - I am looking for signs that pg is still progressing ok and was wondering whether to do some tests before I go to my first scan!

BraveLilBear · 21/11/2012 16:04

I just got a BFP this morning off a Boots own brand cheap test... Was so convinced I wasn't pg that I didn't want to 'waste' money on a digital!

Am now giving serious thought to buying some CBDigital on way home to get an indication that HCG is going up. The girls in Boots will think I'm mental if I do - I had to almost beg them not to shut up shop last night 1 min before closing time to get the first tests!

FestiveFannyFarts · 21/11/2012 16:44

I tested loads up to my 12 week scan because i just didn't believe it was true.... so i probably took about 8 or 9.

Then as a joke there a few weeks ago i did one and told my dh i thought i was pg (im 27 weeks )
