babybond scan tomorrow

I have my babybond scan tomorrow and I am scared, excited, nervous, hopeful all at once. I will (I think!) be 10+3 tomorrow, and as I've posted before, not had huge symptoms but for a bit of crampiness early on and tiredness really. So I am praying all will be okay. Still have no idea when my NHS booking appt and scan will be! But has anyone else had a scan at roughly 10 weeks, or even better a babybond scan at this point? What will I be able to see/hear?

What is a babybond scan? I have never heard that expression before. Do you mean a dating scan?

Sorry bunbaker, scatty brain not being clear - babybond are a company that offer all kinds of scans, I'm going for a dating scan with them tomorrow

What can you get from a babybond scan that you can't on the NHS?

I have had a baby bond scan at my last pregnancy, it was earlier at 8.5 weeks as I wanted reassurance before breaking the news to my parents. The clinic was fantastic and great service.

I'm 10 weeks with DC2 now and this time I'm waiting for my 12 week scan, we have less money this time around so we can't spare the £100 as easily, especially this close to Christmas.

At 10 weeks you should get a nice clear scan! Enjoy!

I don't know when my NHS one is, and in my area they are sometimes waiting as much as 16 weeks to see a midwife. So... reassurance I suppose (And tbh I don't know what else, that's partly why I am asking if anyone else has been!)

At 8.5 weeks we saw a tiny baby shape, only just the beginning of arms and legs but a clear head and body. You should see limbs now. We also saw heart beating and the sonographer also gave us a tiny blast of heartbeat sound! The beats filled the room on their speaker system! That was unexpected and wonderful!

We got several scan pictures too and they estimated due date too.

I'm due 12th June, my scan is 30th Nov so two weeks to wait!! It's getting very frustrating but I'm already showing this time so that's my reassurance really. My other symptoms have gone but then I didn't really have much sickness, just a lot of tiredness! Though I did do another pregnancy test last week just to be sure!! Ha!

I've had a Babybond scan but one of the 4D ones.

I would imagine that at 10 weeks you would be able to see most of what you would see at 12 weeks.

The staff at Babybond were lovely, really good service!

I am having a private scan since my booking appointment is week12 and no idea when my scan would be. I just can't wait that long not after three yrs of fertility treatment.

Llamallama, going by my guess dates I'm due the day before you, and I'm the same, haven't been sick or anything, just tired! Symptoms basically all gone now too, and it's my first so I decided just to go for the scan. I am guessing I won't get my NHS one until maybe 2nd week in December :( I might chance my arm tomorrow and ask for a blast of sound, thanks for the tip!

photographerlady I'm with you, been TTC for over a year and just couldn't wait. I hope your scan is lovely and clear after all the treatment, you deserve it!

Hi I had my booking scan at 10+5 was able to see our baby's head spine arms and legs and see heart beating didn't get to hear it but was so overwhelmed it didn't matter! Good luck and relax and try to remember as much as u can it goes so quickly!

I've had quite a few baby bond scans this pg, starting from 9 + 5 weeks.
All I can i say is, awesome!! Well worth the money! And getting the reassurance is just priceless. Pics are always v clear, even from so early on, and when baby is bigger, and, if like my baby, uncooperative, they re-arrange a date, free of charge, to try again
On this scan, they should also let you hear the heart beat! Not only that, but being a fan of freebies, they also gave me free baby mags, woohoo!!

If you are wanting a nuchal fold measurement you need to chase up to make sure you get your NHS 12 week scan on time. Not everyone wants this test, but there is a specific time window if you do.

I had a scan at 10 weeks due to bleeding, and I could clearly see a little baby waving its arms and legs. Cute!

Thanks ladylike and worsestershiresauce! I'm quite surprised by how much people have been clearly able to see, so I'm hoping for a nice clear shot of dc1 this afternoon! May go out to the cinema to waste some time, getting impatient :)

(I'm pretty sure we aren't offered nuchal fold in our area as standard, but not too bothered about this tbh - thanks for mentioning though :))

just wanted to update for anyone reading, had a lovely scan tonight at babybond, the staff were lovely and the sonographer in particular was so nice.

We were in for 15-20 mins, saw baby very clearly on a lovely big screen, strong heartbeat thumping away and little arms and legs moving around :) It was such a relief and such an emotional experience. The sonographer said it was a gorgeous baby, very active and happy nods proudly Baby even treated us to a wave!

So pleased and clutching my bundle of photos. Thanks so much for all the pointers!
