Having a rubbish time this week, in need of a whinge :( I had really severe all frickin day morning sickness from week 6 to week 9, and unfortunately last week it returned with a vengance (I am currently 12+1) and I can't eat again. I'm sick of being sick!! To top it off I have had a UTI for the last couple of weeks and have bene on amoxocillin for that, which has in turn upset my stomach!! So now I have it bad at both ends (sorry tmi). Been suffering with really bad migraines which have lasted 3 days each. I just want to enjoy being pregnant but it's impossible at the moment. I had my scan last week and everything was ok, so just want to stop feeling poorly now! Unfortunately I am not back to ginger biscuits and water crackers.

Oh no, I feel so sorry for you! this happened to me too!! I thought I was over it at 11 weeks and it came back with a vengeance at 12.5 weeks.

Re: the UTI situation. One thing which has helped during pregnancy has been to take preventive cranberry tablets. The juice has too much sugar in, but the tablets "coat" the bladder and keep it healthier. You might try taking 1 a day when you recover. You can get cranberry extract at Boots or Superdrug and it's perfectly safe - I've run it by three midwives.

If you can stomach live yoghurt, eating it 1-2 times a day will counteract the horrible things antibiotics do to your tummy.

Feel better soon! You have my sympathy!! Thanks

Just to offer you some hope, there is a bug going around here which is a lot like morning sickness - nausea, tiredness, and some people seem to vomit. I have it and I'm 30 weeks, but DP also had it and so have some people at my work who aren't pg.

could the uti be making you feel rough?

OP, I totally sympathise after a week of no ms, it is back, far worse and making me miserable.

It's not so much being sick, I feel utterly dreadful and useless :(

14+1
