I got mine 6 weeks after. BFing can delay first AF.

Auntymandy · 01/04/2006 14:55

about 9 months ish

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/04/2006 14:55

It varies wildly.

pretty soon if you arent b/feeding i think - within 6 weeks of lochia stopping.

If you are b/feeding it can start as early as above or any time between then and 4 or so weeks after finishing b/feeding.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/04/2006 14:56

I am still b/feeding my DS who is 11.5 months and have had no AF yet Grin

Aero · 01/04/2006 15:14

nothing until I'd stopped bfing - so over 15 mths with ds's and around a year with dd.

Nbg · 01/04/2006 15:33

About a month.

The post birth bleeding started to become very minimal and then I just started with bright red blood again (sorry if TMI) so I knew AF had returned.

Just shows how varied everyone is.
