Currently 40+5 with dc2 and planning on using the pool at my local cmu . I'd love to hear some MNers experiences of the pool . I had diamorphine in my first labour and I'm worried the water won't be enough pain relief to push with ? But then if I come out to late I will miss the boat on the diamorphine .

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I had a waterbirth with DS and will be pushing (excuse the pun!) for one with DS2 once I hopefully get up the duff again next year!

I found it absolutely brilliant. I had a 6 hour labour and spent 3 of these hours in the pool. I just had gas and air and managed OK. I had a second degree which required a few stitches but I am sure it would have been worse had I not been in the water.
