Chicken pox question?

I definately had chicken pox when i was a child, and my dd got them last year and i never got them, but have been with my friends ds today and he has broken out in spots, definately chicken pox, should i be worried? I am 20 weeks.

i had them twice as child and neice had them when i was preg. i was fine. checked with doc first, they said fine.

I just checked on this as i work with children, my ds hasnt had it but i have. I was told that because i have had it, the next child (while pregnant)will have my antibodies so i can be around pox kids and not worry.

It may be worth playing safe. This happened to me, I rang the doctor who gave me an immunity check and it turned out even though I had had chicken pox, I wasn't immune. They gave me a jab in both bum checks to protect me just in case I did catch it.

I agree with furball, i carry no antibodies for chicken pox, even though I've had it. I had that injection 3 times.

Oh god! thought i would be ok, will go G.P on Monday to make sure, thanks for the replies.
