hello, i'm 32 weeks gone, and have very sore external piles, does anyone have any advice? i'm using anusol ointment but not giving me much relief as yet...the thought that this could last until the birth is frightening me as i can hardly move and am usually very active...

I was prescribed Anusal Plus HC suppositories during pregnancy - they worked brilliantly, whereas the creams did absolutely nothing. My GP almost signed me off work early mine were so bad, but after a couple of days of suppositories I was sorted. You can also buy them over the counter although they might not give them to you without a prescription due to pregnancy. Witchhazel (undiluted) on a cotton wool pad also very soothing.

Ok, so using the anusol suppositories have made mine 10 times worse! In fact they are getting bigger and itchier by the day :(

And whoever said anusol causes thrush is SPOT-ON. Went to GP's today and she said I had a fungal rash as well as piles.

Bastard bloody haemmorhoids!!!!
