I must be only around 6 weeks.....but I cant stop sleeping, I struggle to keep my eyes open, I cant stop peeing and am crying over everything (Even cried to Harry Potter last night).....my Husband literally thinks I've gone mental and has used the word 'dreading' when he describes how he feels about the next few months of pregnancy. I've read that this is normal but c'mon....is it really??
I'm hoping you are all going to say that it is so I can show my husband and put my feet up and carry on being a nutter!

Totally normal I'm afraid!!!

I'm 13 weeks now, and absolutely shattered constantly - when I dare mention this to DH, he just dismisses it by telling me that i'm always tired! Soo sympathetic!!

The constant need for trips to the loo have thankfully subsided slightly now, but the hormones still abound leading to lots of tearful outbursts too!!!

Just tell your DH that what you are feeling is totally normal and that he needs to suck it up and look after you!!!

Congrats by the way!!!

have you read any pg websites tasfi?! Babycentre and this site are good for explaining what is happening to you now you are pg. is normal to be hormonal and tired :) You are growing a person from scratch, it is tiring business! Is no need to pee over everything tho, that is a bit weird Hmm Grin

It will ease off around 12 weeks, then come back again much later in pg. so your DH needn't worry and tbh if he does moan tell him you are growing his CHILD and should help not whine Grin if you look at your antenatal group i am sure you will find lots of women feeling just the same!

congrats and good luck!

Normal! I once fell asleep at work, at my desk. I was probably about 6 weeks too.

Ameliac28 · 31/10/2012 15:57

I'm 20 weeks and I'm still shattered, I could sleep for England :)

StrawberrytallCAKE · 31/10/2012 15:59

Really really normal, tell him not to worry you'll probably feel a hell of a lot better in maybe 10-12 weeks. I'm 35 weeks now and found the first trimester the hardest by far. Definitely find your thread on the antenatal topic they are very useful.

I fell asleep at my desk so often my boss brought in a blanket and used to drape it over me.
He was so lovely Smile

Totally normal! Tell your OH to stop whinging and bloody look after you. There is a chapter in what to expect when you are expecting for partners to read and it explains how exhausting things are (especialy the first and last trimesters) and tells them to start doing more housework amongst other things Smile

Normal. You are growing a baby, it's tiring work! And in the 1st tri, before placenta takes over, it literally sucks the life out of you (in a good way). My knackeredness was worst btw 6 and 14 wks. It will pass...

weeblueberry · 31/10/2012 16:23

Sadly normal. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and could literally fall asleep any time, anywhere. Even after being up and about for an hour after a good night's sleep....I'm still shattered.

Last time I said this to DP he just rolled his eyes and said 'your body is making a baby - if you were a computer doing all this work your fan would be overheating around about now'. And he's right...
