  1. To not drink so much
  2. To eat what I flipping well like instead of worrying about whether Philadelphia counts as soft cheese etc
  3. If I get sick, to just take the time off work and not feel so damn guilty about it
  4. To not get sick in the first place
  5. To sit up straight instead of spending whole pregnancy slumped on sofa, in hope that baby will come out the right way round this time
  6. To buy some really nice maternity clothes (a few key items from Isabelle Oliver) and look elegant in manner of pregnant celebrity instead of grabbing whatever I can at end of panicky Mothercare trip

Anyone else? Smile

Ohh, agree with number 2.

I am going to try swimming once a week.

And moisturise my bump every day.

Swimming - yes, didn't think of that but maybe I should add it to mine ('once a month' would be more realistic for me though. Or 'once'! Grin)

Desperatehousewife - thanks Smile

regarding resolution 5 - not sure if baby was op or breech last time? But you want to try optimal foetal positioning. Just done a google search and am still seething that first result reads 'this is a midwives theory (pejorative?)' and should be practised from 37 weeks on....but does include some good positioning advice lower down so worth a read \link{http://www.homebirth.org.uk/ofp.htm\here}

My understanding is that in modern lifestyle we encourage the baby into a poor position by our posture in car seat, office chair, comfy chair at home, so you need to address all these areas as soon as you can (well, maybe not at 12 weeks, but much earlier than 37!)

Solutions include putting a small cushion on any chair you frequently sit in - you want your hips to be higher than your knees if at all possible. Further solutions include at least 5 mins a day on hand and knees (so that baby can relax into your tummy and hopefully get into oa position...his/her spine to your tummy...)

Good luck (might join your swimming club myself Grin)

I've also been making resolutions! Yours are great!

I have:

'facing all situations at work calmly and letting go of stress'
'doing something nice for my body every day, however small, e.g. moisturise feet, have massage, paint toenails, whatever'
'do something fun every day, however small, e.g. listen to music, do something romantic for DH, buy a bunch of flowers, phone a mate etc'
'some kind of gentle exercise every day, even just a 10 minute walk, or 10 mins stretching.'

Whether I manage all this is another matter!!

Not sure how far gone you are Gem, but can I suggest doing all the feet focused stuff ASAP. Can barely get my shoes on and haven't been near feet for what seems like weeks Wink

I'm only 11 w 6 d, so feet are so far reachable!

hoping by the time I'm heavier it'll be flip flops weather!
