In my pathetic moanings....
DS was awake for 4 hours over night. I've had 3 hours sleep. That is all

Hi Eddie ! Recognise you (&cheese) from the ttc number 2 thread.

Really pleased you see you both diffed up!

I'm blooming exhausted today, 23 weeks today.

On a positive note I had a good 10 weeks between 12 & 22!

PseudoBadger · 23/10/2012 18:02

Don't feel bad Eddie, I started the thread and I'm only just over 6 weeks :o

If you can get to 12 weeks it does improve. It's all going wrong for me again now though!

Afrodizzywonders · 23/10/2012 18:23

Dyeintheear - thanks, sent DH out to get Lucozade yesterday, tummy very delicate but I really wanted that, managed to eat an apple as well in the evening. Today much better, homemade shepards pie for lunch and jacket for dinner later :)

RunningKatie · 23/10/2012 20:09

I'm 39+5 now and have a 20month old toddler. Her favourite trick is throwing herself on the floor whilst holding my hand and then lying there licking it. Nice. I was picking her up, cajouling her etc., but now I just stand here like a loon and wait for her to get bored given up worrying what people think.

Got acupuncture booked for tomorrow eve in an attempt to get things moving, DD was 2 weeks late and induced, but we're hoping for a home birth this time around if possible.

We also moved house 2 months ago, so know no-one round here and I still can't find certain things that first time around I thought were useful!

I have to say though, compared to the first pregnancy this one has been fabulous, and I am a bit sad it's nearly over. Not least because the thought of night and cluster feeds wears me out.

Pascha · 23/10/2012 20:13

Just home from dads where toddler boy was bowled over several times by their horse of a dog. He's lovely, just HUGE and very bouncy and poor DS doesn't stand a chance when that great fat tail comes flailing towards him Hmm. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. I am ready to crack out the chocolate and pretend to drink vast quantities of wine/whisky. He's asleep now and I can finally flake out and rub my stomach on the sofa.

Hey Bunty! I CBA either!

cheeseandmushroomghostie · 23/10/2012 20:37

Hi pickle just recognised you too! Seems like yesterday we were on the ttc %232 thread!

blackcurrants · 24/10/2012 02:04

[Rushes in yelling histronically ]

I have found you! My people!
DS is 2 and 3 months. he goes to daycare, I go to work and then sleep. DH is doing masses but getting knackered and DS wants mummy. . heartburn, swollen feet and fingers, waking twice a night to pee,.snuggly nose and I'm sodding huge. cannot.wait for Dec, I hate the third trimester!

Vague uplifting note: DS getting excited about 'our baby' and being a big brother. awww.

blackcurrants · 24/10/2012 02:06

"Snuggly, wtf. . snuffly

Afrodizzywonders · 24/10/2012 08:54

Baby bounced on my bladder ALL night, 5 trips to loo and got a DS that's already had 2 melt downs this morning over a curtain pole (swigs imaginary much needed gin, passes bottle)

ConfusedKiwi · 24/10/2012 10:25

Can I join too?

31 weeks with a 26 month old, very energetic, boy. Thankfully sleeps well at night but has dropped daytime naps unless I take him swimming.

Has also recently started biting... eek. Think he may have learnt it at childcare as he got bitten there a couple of times but now attacks his cousin and other children. Am trying to emphasise the need to be gentle with babies but not sure if it's sinking in. At least he seems to like kissing my much bigger this time... what happened to my stomach muscles belly!

DyeInTheEar · 24/10/2012 11:28

It's half term, I'm 36 weeks and about to take my nearly 8yo DS and sort of potty trained 2.5 yo DD out. If they hadn't spent morning winding each other up I wouldn't even be considering it but I can't take it any more.

I get puffy walking up a flight of stairs and feet are swollen. It's going to be fun.

Lauzifer · 24/10/2012 11:41

I'm 12 weeks along and have a 19 month old. I've had awful morning sickness and feel guilty that I haven't been able to spend as much quality time with dd. Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon. I should feel blessed really as dd has always been a great sleeper and very rearly wakes up in the night.

LookAtHerGo · 24/10/2012 13:44

My DD has started waking earlier each morning. Coupled with worse sleep at night. Gah. Am 24 weeks and the size of a house already, no idea how much bigger or less able to bend I'm going to get. I suppose at least I know I'm only going to 38 weeks max, I just hope they decide to stay in there until at least 36 weeks.

PickledFanjoCat · 24/10/2012 13:51

Ds has a virus and I had about three hours sleep! He's rubbing cheese on toast and tomatoes in the carpet. Think I'll just let him. Sad

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 24/10/2012 16:22

DH has taken DD to his parents for the afternoon - feel like a bad mummy but it is bliss! No idea how I will manage DD and a baby when DH at work!

TerrariaMum · 24/10/2012 19:28

Anyone else struggling with nausea that prevents them from cooking?
I meant to do lasagna tonight, but every time I thought of cooking, I felt When I was pg with DD, DH cooked when he came home which was fine as it was only us and I never minded eating at 9.

But, of course, DD needs to eat earlier than that. I managed tonight cos we had leftovers but what do I do when there aren't any leftovers?

I'm not worried about DH as he is quite capable and willing to fend for himself.

littlebubbalove · 24/10/2012 19:46

I'm 38 weeks and my DD is 21 months. Really tired and DD wont sleep without soother. (which i am trying to get her to stop using) x

backinaminute · 24/10/2012 21:23

It's not just me!! 34 weeks pregnant with an 18 month old, very lively Ds. I'm so tired and generally feel knackered and broken - everything hurts. Ds just asks for Peppa all day long and I don't blame him as I can't do much with him physically. We did some baking this afternoon to make up for the constant tv and me sitting on the sofa essentially playing fetch with him. I'm guessing you have to feel this big and awkward to find the thought of a newborn and a toddler more appealing than staying pregnant forever.

PickledFanjoCat · 24/10/2012 21:38

I'm stocking up on peppa!

Tv will just have to get me through some of the winter, im sure the toddlers won't mind.

osterleymama · 24/10/2012 23:01

I also have huge Cbeebies guilt! I was a total judgey pants about toddlers and TV until I had one, that'll teach me. DS now shouts 'beebies!' when he wakes up in the morningBlush

blackcurrants · 24/10/2012 23:21

DS asks for "COOKIES?" or "GEORGE?" (obsession with Curious George, thank gawd there's a gazillion episodes on Netflix) first thing, so you are definitely not alone.

He actually doesn't get them (all the time) but the fact that he asks is probably some kind of terrible indictment of my parenting :)

I'm not sure how you women who are home with your children manage it. I am exhausted with this pregnancy, work, and a toddler but at least I know he's getting decent child care and high-energy carers at his nursery. And masses of outside time in their own playpark area each day. If he were home with me full time there'd be a LOT more telly. As it is he has half an hour of George or Thomas a night, and that's because after 6pm I've basically lost the ability to put one foot in front of another.
I'm buying some floradix tomorrow, in case this is anaemia related. I've still got 8-9 weeks to go, I simply cannot be this tired yet!

PickledFanjoCat · 25/10/2012 10:14

My worst moment was when ds got excited at the Jeremy Kyle music.

I watched it everyday in the first throes of maternity leave!

Got a toddler with an ear & throat infection and I have a sore throat, happy days..

DinosaursOnASpaceship · 25/10/2012 11:20

It's so annoying having to wee every couple of hours (26 weeks now) as ds3 (16 months) still sleeps with me and wakes up every time I move. I have to try an wee really quick before he's out the bed and stumbling around crying in the dark. Sometimes I win, but mostly not.

Finally got round to telling ds1&2 about having another baby but they were less than enthusiastic.

I've been going up to bed for an hour and a half in the day with ds3 when he has his nap. So nice just to get a bit of sleep, no chance of that when the baby arrives though - I am dreading the exhaustion. Tantrums and crying I can deal with but feeling like a zombie is awful.

I started thinking it was almost worth having my ex back so I might get an occassionally break before realising he did sod all anyway so I'd just be causing myself more stress.

I'm not feeling to uncomfortable yet, I did dream last night though that we had loads of snow in December and got snowed it. Couldn't get up my garden path to get to the shop for milky bars, it was an awful dream!
