In my pathetic moanings....
DS was awake for 4 hours over night. I've had 3 hours sleep. That is all

Another one here! 19ws with ds 2.1 and exhausted already! So many so much further along was hoping to open this thread and read 'oh it's not that bad' Pah!

Trying to get Xmas shipping done earky this year so I can "relax" as I get a bit bigger but with a lively toddler slowing dropping his naps I don't see that happening!!

cakesonatrain · 22/10/2012 15:23

Me too! 21 weeks and have a 15mo. He does sleep all night, except when ill/teething etc. Currently has chicken pox, but we've only had one wakeful night from that.
Pretty much dreading having a newborn and a toddler. :(

kellestar · 22/10/2012 16:13

14+3 with a 22 month old squirrel/mountain goat that has pissed me off no end today. I keep dashing of to puke and when I'm distracted with that, she gets in enormous trouble that I've then got to clear up. Have done sod all except clear up after myself and firefight DD's bad habits. I had a big list of tasks to get through, including the usual domestic duties.

My toddler doesn't nap, but she does sleep [relatively] well at night. So come 7am she is fully charged and then on the go for 12 hours [14 if daddy is left in charge].

And what is the big problem with clothes, it's freezing cold in our house and I have so many layers on, it gets complicated when I need to pee quickly. Yet my DD is strutting around the house proudly naked, again. I'm getting fed up dressing her and then having to dash to puke and hearing her trill out 'nakey, nakey' while I've still got my head in the bowl. I even tried mulitple layers with her, vest, tights, dungarees, jumper.

Only 45 minutes until DH is home... no chance of peace and quiet, but as least I'll be able to sit somewhere and catch a breath.

DyeInTheEar · 22/10/2012 16:41

Brew for Betty

If it helps DD pee'd on the floor of Waitrose after point blank refusing to sit on her portable potty.

DeathMetalMum · 22/10/2012 19:02

Me I am 19 weeks with 20month dd and we have just moved house (first night in last night) It was all very last minute so last two weeks have been hectic im really feelong it right now. We still have boxes everywhere so I'm having to make sure she comes if I have to leave the room.

I am also thinking if I am feeling this bad now god knows what the rest of my pregnacy is going to be like.

milkyjo · 22/10/2012 19:22

Apparently it is horrendous whilst pregnant and a lot easier when new baby is born - that's what people have told me but I'm just thinking about then having two on my hands!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 22/10/2012 19:30

Am 37 + 3 (section at 39) and have 20mo DD. she is generally good, but I am exhausted. Am ready to no longer be pregnant but am not sure am ready for an actual baby as well as a toddler. Plus DD is completely and utterly obsessed with babies, so will have to ensure her interest is managed to prevent poor DC2 being dragged and thrown around like her dollies are!

kellestar · 22/10/2012 19:38

Madame gazelle. DD is having her very own baby... Baby annabelle is 25 in asda, DH came up with the idea.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 22/10/2012 19:47

That is a great idea kellestar but DD has about 10 babies already, 2 of which are baby annabells.

gemdrop84 · 22/10/2012 19:53

aww big hugs to you, had a shit day, 27wks+4 with 2nd dc, dd is 3. Woke up last night in agony, round ligament pain is a bitch Angry spent most of the day lying in bed in tears trying not to move! Took me a while to walk dd down to nursery this morning, thankfully dp picked her up. Pain is easing little bit now so I'm on here trying to cheer my sorry arse up! Grin Hoping for a better day tomorrow and got my 28wk appt so going to talk with midwife about the rlp for any tips on how to cope with it. x

howiwonder · 22/10/2012 20:20

seems like we are not the only ones struggling then! im 39+2 with a 2.8 yr old and ,oh my god, we have had a bloody awful day.

DH accidentally took buggy to work in the car - my DS is a real lazy arse when it comes to walking and I'm sort of in a vicious circle now where I give in to him being in buggy because I'm too tired to argue, even though I should be training him to walk more with baby on the way. Anyway, I knew we HAD to get out today the way our morning was going so I decided we would walk to the library which is literally accross the road. Cue the most horrendous 'walk' with DS frequently asking to be carried, sitting down on wet pavement etc. Nightmare! Then when we got in the library, he managed to break the self service machine by shoving our receipt back in the slot and I had to apologise profusely to the staff and leave as quickly as possible. When we got home, I find that the dvd we borrowed (not even a book, just a dvd in the hope for some peace Blush) is 'locked' as i havent swiped it properly in the machine!!!

Sorry for the rant but I was tearing my hair out by the end of the day, not helped by the fact that I have toothache - arghhhh!

will try and plan some nice things to do tomorrow to make it a better day. Poor DS had such a grumpy mum today, and I'm never normally short with him.

So much harder 2nd time isn't it? When i think back to how much I spoilt myself first time round....

Dualta · 22/10/2012 22:04

UH OH, 21 weeks with a 12 month old. He's only just starting to sleep somewhat normally (with one of us on the floor in his room). Have no idea how on earth I will cope with 2 babies. We must be mad.

cheeseandmushroomghostie · 22/10/2012 22:08

Oh can I join in? Ds 2.4 had d&v over the weekend, DH who was perfectly healthy, decided to get a dirty kebab for no reason and got food poisoning. I therefore had two children to look after Angry

12 weeks pregnant and sleep deprived makes me very very shouty. And teary.

DH is usually great but I was so sick of him telling me how weak he felt AngryAngryAngryAngry TRY BEING PREGNANT YOU MORON.

Feel better now, thanks for listening MN!

JoJoB77 · 23/10/2012 09:57

Sorry to hear you are all struggling but glad im not alone Smile

Im 33 weeks with dc2, DD is 18 months. She is a very lively bad sleeper, not a good combination. She was up at 5am this morning but that was a lie in compared to the 4am starts we've had lately.

Im sorry to hear about your DH cheese but you have really made me want a dirty kebab now Grin

Alamaya · 23/10/2012 10:42

Im so joining. 37wk 5 days. With a 17 month old.

I have SPD, constant indigestion, currently dealing with a vomitting bug.

All the while having a teething toddler, me being an insomniac, having less and less energy everyday and being scared to eat ALL the time due to the indigestion i am totally ready for this baby to get out now so i can bend and move again :(

NAR4 · 23/10/2012 12:46

24 weeks pregnant, with a 19 month old, who rarely sleeps during the day and gets up 3+ times a night and insists I go to her (not daddy).

Hubby has already suggested an early epidural when I go into labour, just so we can get some sleep before the baby is born.

Already dreading the night feeds with the new baby.

Keep reminding myself that the night feeds are for such a short part of my childs life.

louschmoo · 23/10/2012 14:23

Can I join too? I'm 18 weeks with a 14 month old DS who has recently developed a love of climbing everything! Feeling better snce morning sickness subsided but still absolutely knackered :(. Luckily DS is a good sleeper but he is very very full on during the day and I'm really feeling it. Dread to think how tired i'll be in 3rd trimester.

PickledFanjoCat · 23/10/2012 14:25

Me too. I feel zonked and an watching my 19 month old destroy the lounge. He's been sent home from nursery as he's supposed to be ill too!!

PickledFanjoCat · 23/10/2012 14:27

Cheese my dp bought a kebab pizza on Friday and spent the rest of the weekend making bad smells. Very bad smells.

BuntyCollocks · 23/10/2012 14:38

30 weeks pregnant, and have a 21 month old. We made the transition over the weekend into a big boy bed for DS. He thankfully (touch wood) seems to have taken to it swimmingly.

Now just need to muster up the enthusiasm for the next 7 weeks in work, and convince DH to start getting baby things ready again next month. The cot has to be put back down to baby sized cot, the hammock needs to go back up, bunting put up in DD's room, the wall hanging in DS's room needs to be put up, and his pictures moved from her room to his. All silly, niggly things that will take forever to convince him to do.

Wish he'd do them without having to be constantly asked. Fucks me right off.

Also need to pack our hospital bags.

6w pregnant and have an 18 month old DS who seems to have contracted some virus (hand, foot & mouth probably) so was up pretty much all night last night!! It's funny, we just got offered a nursery place about a month ago, and since then DS has contracted a slew of conditions and has probably spent half the time at home anyway!!

Working FT and feeling pretty sorry for myself, would probably prefer to be looking after DS as I could sneak a nap while he's napping and veg on the couch while he's playing with his toys.

TerrariaMum · 23/10/2012 15:01

Oh, thank heavens for this thread. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and have a ridiculously bouncy 22 mo DD who now hates her buggy and wants to walk everywhere except when she decides she must be carried by mummy. She also climbs anything and everything (stealthily too).

I am shattered. I am typing on here cos she is asleep right now, thank heavens.

PseudoBadger · 23/10/2012 17:02

Sorry I haven't been back - you know how it is these days :o
I see the thread has really taken off - chin up everyone, we will get through this!

EddieIzzardIsOrange · 23/10/2012 17:11

Hi, hoping I can whinge too?!

Am not as pregnant as most people on here it seems (only 8 weeks) but am so very tired, went to bed at 7.30pm last night just after DS (21 months) went down!

We both have streaming colds too so have had a duvet/cbeebies day today

Was deluding myself hoping it was going to get easier once I'd gotten past this tired/sick early stage but reading through, it doesnt look like that'll be the case

Still it'll be fine when the baby comes right? Yes?

TerrariaMum · 23/10/2012 17:16

Eddie, if it helps, we had a stomach bug at around that time so I empathise.
