I thought I was the only loop who had healthy cravings.

My DD is 14yrs old but I craved cherry tomatoes when I was pg with her.

I'm 34 weeks pg with DS1 now & loving satsumas, clementines & especially, mineolas Mmmm. Also addicted to orange squash with sparkling water.

Popumpkin · 24/10/2012 14:54

Are you sure it's a DS you're expecting itsallinmyhead? Grin

Funnily enough, I was the opposite of you. I craved cherry tomatoes with DS1 (who was 14 when DD arrived) and all things orange with DD Grin.

I have a week to go and I can't get enough of hobnobs with Nutella on and a massive glass of cold full fat milk Blush

No real cravings throughout though.

Think it's just my body telling me I need the sugar and the fat

NewMrsH · 24/10/2012 15:11

Lemonade and orange juice!!!

itsallinmyhead · 24/10/2012 15:38

Oh yes Popumpkin we're sure, even have the 4D images lol.

What a funny kind of coincidence Grin

My DD is very, very jealous...don't suppose you have experience of dealing with that one?

littlebubbalove · 24/10/2012 15:47

I used to hate wippy cream, but now i can get enough if it!!! (38 weeks) x

Popumpkin · 24/10/2012 16:16

Ah, not really itsallinmyhead. DS1 is a very laid back teenage boy who hasn't really taken much notice of his baby sister at all Grin & DS2 (who was 10 when DD arrived) was always really, really excited during the pregnancy & has been all over DD since she was born. He's brilliant with her & we've never had any signs of jealousy from either DS.

My best friend though also has a 14 year age gap between her DD1 & DD3 and she has had comments such as "you don't love me anymore, now you've got DD2/DS/DD3" etc. and her DD1 being quite spiteful to her next closest sibling in age who is 4 (hiding toys etc.) She tries to deal with it by spending as much mum & daughter time with DD1 as she can and not asking her to help with the little ones too much (although it's good for her to help sometimes), so that she doesn't feel like the whole house revolves around the babies - she had her DD2, DS & DD3 within 3 years so all are still young. Good luck, I'm sure she'll be fine once the baby arrives & she can see that mum still loves her just as much Grin.

Satsumas. Not oranges. Only satsumas!

justhayley · 24/10/2012 23:51

For me my only craving was sex lol and with DP in the Army & at Sandhurst during my pregnancy I spent 9 months almost always frustrated

itsallinmyhead · 25/10/2012 22:37

Many, many thanks Popumpkin

Apologies for hi jacking the thread OP Thanks

With my first pregnancy, I once sat and ate my way through an entire bag (about 10 or 12) of oranges. There is no way my body needs vitamin C in those quantities, no idea why. I've had no other cravings (4 pregnancies all together) except with the third I went completely off chocolate and don't eat the stuff to this day.

pinkpeony4 · 26/10/2012 17:14

I am 22 weeks and have been craving citrus of any kind. Orange juice (freshly squeezed) by the gallon when normally I hate the stuff. Yesterday we found out we are having a girl!! Grin

Calmisthemantra · 26/10/2012 18:14

with dd it was all about oranges and ice lollies. i would eat maybe 4 BIG oranges a day! Had a girl!

towards the end it was all about vinegar. on chips, peas, boiled potatoes, crips, pasta, rice. was totally obsessed

us4downhere · 27/10/2012 10:00

I was obsessed with oranges with both of my pregnancies - they were both boys!

This time I'm not interested in fruit at all - just savoury and spicy things like bombay mix... don't know what we're having this time yet!

GrandPoohBah · 27/10/2012 18:53

Clementines. And cake Grin

We're having a girl too (apparently...)

lolo99 · 27/10/2012 20:14
