Chances of pre-eclampsia re-occuring when pregnant by different dp?

Hi I was wondering if anyone has experienced pre-eclampsia during their first pregnancy then went onto have another dc with a different ds?
I had my ds when I was 18 and developed v serious pre-eclampsia when I was about 37wks. I was immediately rushed to hospital and ended up being induced 3 days later as the risk was so great to myself and my poor ds.
I am now pregnant with dc2, 8 years later!, to a different dp and and have been referred to a consultant.
I have an appointment in a weeks time and am wondering what I will be asked and what my chances of developing the condition again are? When the midwife questioned me about the PE at my booking appointment I couldnt remember all the details of things she was asking me, like whether I was given blood pressure medication before I was induced etc. All I really remember is feeling so ill that I thought I was going to die :(
So if anyone has any experience they can share with me I would be extremely greatful!

I had PE with DC1, taken aspirin throughout this pregnancy and so far not a whiff of it has come back and I am having the baby tomorrow. Same partner but totally different pregnancy. Good luck.

I had pre-eclampsia with my first. My second pregnancy went very well despite being closely monitored but all settled well and ds arrived himself 2 days early.

History within my family is skips a generation and its usually a girl pregnancy first time round x

I had PE with DC1, and am now pregnant with DC2. I don't know about risks with a new partner, but I developed PE at 33 weeks last time. My consultant said the earlier you develop it, the higher the risk of developing it in subsequent pregnancies. She also said if you do develop in a subsequent pregnancy then on average you'll develop it 2 weeks later than you did before.

My consultant also started me on aspirin from 12 weeks, I'm now about 25 weeks and having my bp checked fortnightly, then from 28 weeks it's going to be checked weekly.

She said I have about a 25% chance of getting it again, but one things for sure is that since you've had it in the past they'll definitely keep a close eye on you so hopefully will pick up any issues early..

You should get a consultant appointment automatically with your history.

I had pre-eclampsia and hellp with my first ds. My second ds was with the same partner, but no prre-eclampsia. For some reason the consultant said it is more likely to recur if you leave it more than 10 years between pregnancies. I think your body forgets what happens. Anyway, can your hospital get hold of the notes from your previous pregnancy? Don't beat yourself up about not remembering the medical details from the previous pregnancy. For me the medical staff took over and it all became a bit of a blur. On the second pregnancy I was more proactive, asking questions, making sure that they checked my blood pressure and urine more, and pushing for extra appointments. I was probably a right pain, but knew they had missed it the first time and didn't want that to happen again. Apart from me being a miserable cow, the second time went well and I even had a natural birth. Good luck.

I am preg with no3 and a dif partner and although I haven't had pre-eclampsia, I was told when I booked that a pregnancy wirh a new partner has the same risks as a first pregnancy.
