Does anyone know anything about autosomal polycystic kidney disease?

I have just heard from a friend who is 26 wks pregnant that her baby has probably got PKD and depending on the severity may not survive long once born. Has anyone had experience of this condition or know much about it?

Bump (while she's still here at my house)

I am so sorry. If it is the dominant form then the outlook would nt be this bleak, but if it is recessive, which I guess it is, then it can be really bad. There's a good authoritative source of information \link{http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/polycystic/\here} but it makes for very bleak reading :(

She'd left before I saw this. Thank you for the link, I will pass on the info.
