Counselling during early pregnancy

Hi,

Has anyone had counselling during early pregnancy? Did the GP refer you or did the midwife? I think need counselling as I'm feeling quite down due to how pregnancy has affected me (pain etc). Who should I ask?

I spoke to both, but it was the GP that referred me.

Yes I did - was referred by hospital gynae to hospital counselling service as was in hosp at time - the lady came to see me on the ward. Think you can self refer to the service though - worth checking as well as asking midwife?
