went to midwife on Tuesday last week and she said the baby's head was 3/5 down in my pelvis. What exactly does this mean?

I know it means it is in the right position but with 6 weeks still left to go should I expect anything to happen earlier beacause of this?

they divide the head into 5 parts, so in your case, most, but not all, of your baby's head is engaged.

I don't think its a indication anything will happen sooner.

my dd was head down from 28 weeks and dropped 2/5 down at 34 weeks, could actually feel the bump of her head between my legs Blush she was only 4 days early so i wouldn't panic Smile

thanks - I can feel the head and with that and SPD together it is not the most enjoyable feeling I must admit.

ouch Sad

sounds like you'll be praying for it to be early then. i know i was (sciatica, and generallly not being very patient with the whole pregnancy nonsense)

I went up and down like anything in the last few weeks and when dd2 was finally born 10 days late (by c-section) she was still high!!
