Just that really .....
last couple of days i have felt an itchiness and a little sore around the anal area . I have recently been going to the toilet a lot but having quite uncomfortable bowel movements...... I had a feel and is like a little lump . I've read that pregnancy is a trigger factor for piles. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and did it clear up on its own / advice...??? I'm 36 weeks .

Thanks x

This might sound terrifying but-if you're very careful you can push it/them back in!!

Had piles after ds2 and was mortified. But was so uncomfortable I went to the drs after 2 days and she popped it back in.Blush

I was/am so embarrassed. But it happens.

Apparently they can pop out in pg or if straining etc.

I think there is only one .......Apparently 1 in 10 pg women get them in 3rd trimester ...don't think its anything to be embarrassed about just not very nice :-( and like you say uncomfortable ..think 'll give it a couple of days and see what happens then go GP same or worse xx

Lots of over the counter meds are worth trying. Make sure you get one with an anaesthetic and one to reduce swelling. Gels are better than creams as you can keep them in the fridge so they are nice and cool to apply....ah bliss!!

Thanks for that ...I'm seeing the MW on wed so i will see what she suggests. I'm guessing you have had them Bangers ???? Finding that bathing works too but just not feasible in the middle of the day ................ :-(

Yes I'm a long-term sufferer Sad Got worse during first pregnancy then childbirth obviously made them a million times worse. They are back again now I'm
22 weeks pregnant with number two. Been told I need an op but no point until I've finished having kids.

oh no ...sorry to hear that :-( hope they get sorted for you eventually :-). This is my first pg and wondered what was happening to begin with as i just seemed to have a sore bum but been going to toilet a lot so thought that was what it was...but soon realised probably not !!
congrats on number 2 btw ..........pregnancy seems to bring with it all sorts of delights............xx

Doesn't it just! Although to be fair I've been very lucky other than that, no sickness and not too tired. But third trimester still to come and that's when it all gets a bit more tricky!! Good luck with yours x
